Service scope
A useful service request identifies the machine, symptom, operating condition and evidence already collected. This page keeps that handoff concise.
Service quality depends on information quality. A model name alone does not show whether a recovery issue follows a worn squeegee edge, a blocked hose, a surface joint, solution settings or an operating sequence. Record the machine state before changing several variables at once.
Copy the exact model and serial reference from the machine plate. Note attachment, battery and charger identifiers when they are part of the symptom. Use the applicable Factory Cat manual to confirm service intervals and safe isolation steps; this website does not replace that controlled document.
Describe the surface, incline, ambient conditions, soil, brush or pad and detergent state. Include whether the issue occurs immediately, after warm-up, under brush load or near the end of the shift. That boundary helps distinguish a repeatable condition from an intermittent observation.
For water pickup concerns, inspect the squeegee blades, hose path, recovery lid seal and tank condition using the manual procedure. Photograph the recovery trail and note whether it changes across joints or turns. Do not defeat interlocks or reach into moving components to obtain evidence.
Use a marked test lane only when site safety rules allow it. Keep brush or pad, solution setting, travel direction and floor condition fixed. Change one factor per run, record elapsed minutes and stop if unusual heat, odor, vibration or electrical behavior appears.
Confirm part compatibility against the machine serial reference rather than relying on visual similarity. After qualified service, document the inspection, functional check and operator release required by your facility. Battery, charging and chemical work may require trained personnel and local procedures.
Remote guidance cannot verify structural damage, electrical insulation, battery integrity or every site hazard. Lockout, charging, lifting and chemical-handling work remains subject to the current model manual, facility rules and qualified-person requirements.
